Modern Psychological Studies and the Paranormal
................................
Director: Chip
Show Description:
...A trailer for a series concerning the marriage between the field of modern psychology and the field of paranormal studies. I plan on bi-monthly shows concerning various topics related to the theme mentioned above.
All too often the inclusion of a few letters after one's name creates a false sense of power few seem likely to challenge. I understand and respect a decade of dedicated learning as much as the next but I also respect my right to interpret and ultimately, draw my own conclusion(s) on subject matter, regardless of the amount of money I, or my parents for that matter, have spent on further education...
BlogStars, I feel confident, agree with me....if only on principal.
The issue of psychological ailments often comes up when investigating claims of paranormal activity. Very often, in my own, humble experience, said “conditions” if found to exist, disqualify individuals from further investigation (and serious attention) by many paranormal research teams and investigators.
Granted the above statement does NOT hold true for every team or researcher but it would seem these conditions are used as reasons for the principal's experience(s) and not viewed as respectfully as they should or could be... as symptoms that may make an individual even more susceptible to external (paranormal) activity.
Of course, this is my contention but I am positive I'm not alone in that assertion. Please lend your thoughts, regardless of what they are to this series topic, beginning late December (2009).
Please bare in mind that while I am/may promote ideas skewed to bolster my own opinion(s), I am in no way closed to alternative and opposing views and you will not be attacked in any way, shape or form for voicing them.

BBC Journalist Catches Apparition
BBC journalist Chris Sandys has said he is at a loss to explain a mystery apparition that appeared on a photo.
Mr Sandys, 30, was photographing at the reputedly haunted Edward Jenner Museum in Berkeley, Gloucestershire, and captured the image on his camera.
"It was a bizarre formation of light showing a mystery figure in a doorway," he said. "I am sure it was not caused by sunlight or dust in the air.
"I checked again and looked in the doorway but I could see nothing."
He went on: "As a BBC employee I wouldn't dare doctor an image or I would lose my job."
Mr Sandys, who works for BBC Gloucestershire's website, was photographing in an attic never before opened to the public.
Museum director Sarah Parker said: "We are truly flabbergasted by the image.
"We have graffiti from soldiers previously billeted in the attic rooms from the 19th and 20th Century and perhaps this is one of them or even one of Jenner's servants.
"We have always thought of the 'ghosts' as being metaphoric, but maybe we need to think again."
The museum is dedicated to Dr Jenner, who lived in the house from 1785-1823.
It was from the Grade II listed building that he pioneered his world-changing vaccination against smallpox.

BlogStar — Discussion: My Experience with Paranormal Teams
Click Here if Video Doesn't Respond
I, personally, admire and respect this lady for this show and for who she is. I love her for who she is personally but here I'm making another point. As an investigator, I'm honored to have this advice given to me and I hope that the rest of those investigators who see this and really hear what she's saying get the same uplifting insight that I did from it. No one could have said it better, and let's face it. Get real here. She's RIGHT! I've seen this, experienced it, had my team brought down by it this prevailing jealousy and who's who in the paranormal and who's NOT. It's bullshit. I, too, call it as I see it. I'm not bashing anyone, either. I'm speaking my mind frankly as I always do. So, as a long-lived researcher and investigator myself, I am heeding these wise words. May all of us realize that we're here doing Spiritual work no matter our approach to it, meaning scientific or spiritual methods of investigating and helping as should be our goal, and to me that's God's work we're doing. The ones who have the balls to speak their minds honestly and not look over their shoulder to see who's looking at them while they are speaking are the ones I respect. The honest ones. Also, I highly respect those with the balls to admit that this is a spiritual journey and give the Higher Power the credit for the work we're doing because it really is a spiritual journey no matter what religion you are or if you are of a religion or not. I won't define spirituality here. I see seeking to know as being spiritual also, so I'll leave it at that.
We are the ones who has to answer for what we're doing out here in the paranormal field, even if only to ourselves. Is our conscious clear? Just a question to ponder for every one of us, including myself.
I feel this jealousy too much also. I have one thing to say and it's the same thing Mama's said and now the great guys and gal at Ghostly Talk. I applaud them for the show. I'll post a link to the part of the show where they finally say it and it brought me back to my love of this field without holding back so much as I have been guilty of. I haven't did that much but a little goes a long way and you all have my appologies for that. I'm on full throttle now like the last post said, like Atlantis. Hear me roar! You don't have to agree but I'm honored for those who do hear.
Listen to your heart, not your head sometimes. It's better that way.

Dangers Of The Paranormal
Dangers of the Paranormal With John Zaffis and Andrew Calder
As always, honesty is my policy and I have no motives except to speak with others who share paranormal knowledge or experiences and to help others. I hope these videos help someone or offer some advice that will save them a lot of trouble. Been there, done that, got a hat. Really, I do!
Lovingly Your Paranormal Blogger,
Angie
