Halloween Special Post 10

Halloween cannot go by without the vampiric society chiming in. Whether in costume, or for people more inclined to the dark side like me, it is a time of year to be who you want to be or for the latter, just to be yourself. So, in my posts about vampires and their world of fact and fiction, I offer you this history series of videos to kick it off ....
Discription: Since the dawn of civilization, blood-drinking ghouls have been documented in every major culture around the world. From the ancient Babylonian Edimmu through Richard Trenton Chase and Jeffrey Dahmer, vampire-like beings have walked among the living.

This program takes you on a terrifying historical journey through the ages, with vivid stories of people like the 16th century Hungarian noblewoman Elizabeth Bathory -- better known as the "Blood Countess" -- who tortured and killed over 600 servant girls, drinking and bathing in their blood.

Other notorious figures include the real-life Dracula, Prince Vlad Tepes -- born in 1431 in Transylvania -- who impaled and killed over 100,000 people; and the German butcher Fritz Harmann whose deadly bite claimed at least 24 young victims -- and who later ground up the body parts to make sausages which he ate himself and also sold to his customers.

These and many other incredible legends are revealed in this feature-length program. Do vampires really exist? Learn the truth and find out for yourself.

Halloween Special Post 8

I loved this one because of the explanation that the guide gave. More New Orleans ghost stories!

Halloween Special Post 7

More New Orleans ghost accounts, trhough the eyes of the personal experience and paranormal field.

Halloween Special Post 7

Although I do disagree with the assessment that a tragic, unexpected, or violent event makes a "ghost" as opposed to what I define as "spirit", I do know that sometimes this is the case. I've found through my research that very specific circumstances must be present to keep a spirit trapped here as a ghost, and a lot of times it is the choice of the spirit to remain as a ghost, for they have reasons of their own to stay all the time. Spirits can and do travel between planes. Simply because you see one does not mean they are trapped or need to "move to the light". This is where a good trans medium comes in for real time communication witht the spirit to know if they are indeed trapped here or not. Having said that, I ask you to take a step back and consider the spirit instead of the theories that prevail in this field. Consider the spirit as you would yourself. After all, the spirits of humans that have passed are just that .... humans without a body.

As for the ancient art of Voudoo, once again, pay attention to the priestess's words. The power of prayer, by any intention, and the power of ritual by the same. What, after all, is faith? Faith, spirituality, and what we call paranormal all go hand in hand at some point ...... Do not be confused or under illusion!

Haunted History New Orleans

Halloween Special Post 6

No Halloween blog series would be complete without something about the famous Voudoo Queen of New Orleans, Marie LaVeau! This series is far from over, however, this information cannot be ignored by anyone who seeks to understand the "darker" side of the paranormal. So much emphasis is placed on this old art form or magical practice, yet so little is understood about magic itself and the intention of the practitioner. This video sums it up and also answers the question what are those Gris Gris bags, anyway? If we learn this lesson, all else comes to a more simplified way of viewing any magical art in terms of solving cases that involves the use of them. I hope this brings enlightenment to those who seek it.

Halloween Special Post 5

Here lies one of America's most haunted cities and most interesting as well. Our team has an investigator in the city and also a pending investigation at one of the plantations by invitation of the owner. If we can get the travel money together, we will be doing that.

This city is one of my favorites and rich in history. It's culture is the most livid out of all the cities I've dug into. I love this city even before I go. I can't say I'll return if I ever do, because of the living and the dead!

Halloween Special Post 4

Another Halloween special that aired on Prime Time Live about the Amityville story. The little things in cases like this is what matters most sometimes. Keep your eyes and ears open, but most importantly your mind. This case may well help us understand other smaller cases and help people even more.

Discription: You know the story. A year after a Long Island family was butchered as they slept (by the eldest son), a newly-married couple buys the house and moves in with their young family, not knowing that a horrifying supernatural presence awaits them. Sounds like a cool plot for a movie, but this supposedly really happened. Did the haunting really take place, or was it a hoax? This special Halloween episode of "Primetime Live" (first aired in 2003) explores the case, and tries to find out if anything has been uncovered in the past 27 years. Contains rare footage of George Lutz talking about what really went on during that final night in the house... Discuss this case at www.amityvillefaq.com/truthboard/

Halloween Special Post 3

The second in the Amityville posts for Haloween, the anniversay of the horrid events at 112 Ocean Avenue in New York. I love Dr. Holzer's remarks!

Description: http://www.amityvillefiles.com

The Amityville Files is the largest archive of Amityville-related research on the web. Our mission is to present our readers with both the facts and the myths surrounding the Amityville case from all sides of the controversy. The site includes a vast archive of information, allowing the viewer to do their own research into the topic, and decide for themselves where the truth lies in this highly controversial case.

Is the story of America's most famous haunted house real horror, or a common hoax?

In 1976 The Lutz family fled from their home in Amityville, Long Island, claiming that they had been driven out by terrifying and unexplained phenomena. Their story went on to become a worldwide bestseller which spawned dozens of books and films.

This followed the mysterious slaughtering of an entire family one night a few years previous. The murderer claimed it was the work of the devil.

Mediums and psychic investigators have claimed that there is a curse on the property, while others believe the gruesome history has been invented as a money-making scheme.

This documentary sets out to discover the truth about one of American folklore's most notorious mysteries and features George Lutz's last on-camera interview before he died in 2006.

Halloween Special Post 2

In light of the coming All Hallows Eve, I cannot leave out one of the world's most famous cases. As a researcher in the paranromal for 10 + (and I add the puls insted of a number because age may show itself on me!) years, I've heard a lot about this case and seen raw evidence myself from people I know that once lived near this place. I have no question as to the reality of the case itself, however, if you listen to interviews of the late George Lutz, you'll see the movie took great creative license. As an investigator I do not look at the movie "The Amityville Horror" as a movie about reality, but instead it is based on something like the true story but added a lot to it and left out a lot of important details.

So, in this light, I add the discriptions of the following videos. I'll make a new post for each of the Amytiville video sequences. I hope they are educational for you all, as that is one of my goals in this field.

Description: A 1979 investigation into the Amityville Horror, done around the time the movie was released and before the talk of a possible hoax really started to gain popularity. This program is notable because it contains the only known on-camera interview by the priest who blessed the house (and who confirms his experiences in the house, despite what the Cromartys claimed in the later episode of "That's Incredible"). Also notable for containing rare glimpses of the Lutzes with their real children, filmed by the "In Search Of" crew. Discuss this case at www.amityvillefaq.com/truthboard/

Halloween Special Post 1

For Halloween I decided to post some special videos of interest here, this one being the most interesting because one of my collegues in the paranormal field actually experienced these hauntings when she went there and sent me these videos when researching her experiences. Check it out.
